Bigger comparison for vman is kph at gmush, people seem to rush his level, then they are stuck on some crap low 40-50k kph at gmush. Where you should try and aim for the 167k+ to use the free candy on gmush kills, you could obviously dig into your own candy stash. But even then that would seem stats and stuff are missing

Your DR is better than mine but I finished the grind over night. If you have card double chips put your crystal spawns in those slots. Max the star talent if you haven't already, and library max the statue and orb talents if they aren't already. And farm beans, if you're not there already

1. loot capacity. sailing artifacts are main w5 progression
2. w5 skill xp. you'll be sitting on divinity for a while, and skill levels help so its good to get it started early
3. respawn. portals get huge in w5
4. boss armor. recommended to save 5 points in preparation for boss armor, that way you'll be able to unlock all the pieces without having to do additional tasks
5. tab4 talent points and star talent: you might be low on elite tab talent points and stats when you're new to w5 but there are other sources. you can prioritize these over boss armor if you're not confident in crafting later armor

(1) One purchase into Spice Pillage so you don't feel as forced to manually collect spices.

2. Get Mob Respawn maxed out to allow you to push the maps faster.
3. Connection range merit doesn't give much, but it will make it alot easier to find good spots for your characters to be in lab.

4. Troll armor is miles better than Diabolical armor. If you do not have enough nullo salt production, you can get spice pillage maxed instead.

Its a lot of balancing, if you have some boats with low loot value it can be done a lot easier, especially on a lower island. I'd go for base mats not the rare ones as those are harder to grind. If you overshoot on one, can either go for an extra 0 at the end (instead of 777k you go for 7.77m kinda thing) or do a different island.

Depending on laddle cost it can soemtimes be benficial to focus kitchen upgrade cost red. and cook speed a bit first, upgrade the kitchen with spices, then the rest.

But overall, you're not able to use most your alts throughout different areas to play "Catch up" on w1-4 content. I definetely recommend backtracking a lot. I tossed in a few recommended things you could do in pins but overall it's very situational to what people ignored and focused on.

You still want to slowly get to Tiger god, and you can rotate your lab rats in and out to get everyone higher div and lab levels. Essentially you want non-lab people to hit div 40+ at some point now so you can setup Tranqi for passive xp

There will be a point where it takes 30 days to raise even 1 level of cook speed meals, while that 30 days can be used on other meals to raise like say 80 levels, which the latter adds more cook speed via vman talent

Overall yeh, unlocking missed out content is good. Collecting what you dont have. Daily keys from w1-3, stamps from skills, quests, mobs. Maybe even some QoL stuff like getting storage space and bag space on your alts.
Essentially your proper goal should be what actually helps you long term too. Like better samples so you always have enough for bubbles, while you're time gated from sailing until you get Fury for 200+ tente. So getting some basics especially for mages and warris setup, better skill talent book levels, tools, basic levels in their main skill for the best tool you can get. Then sampling stuff to not worry about it will be nice too. With this you'll print enough for getting most your stamps up to a decent point until Money becomes the big issue.

Meaning having SB afk at gmush for tons of gmush kills could help. I tossed my SB back into gmush as soon as i was done with div. To slowly get more kills = more money multi from lab

Over time you're kph should be in the millions, meaning you'll hit a bunch more on gmush. Early on I'd say just let it come as it comes. 100m is fine, more is better. Later your goal would be an easy 1-5b or more.

You can do some quests with vman, but could always just backtrack quests with him in the future. Things may also be a bit different now with the new stamp giving skill effy, i'm happy i did nearly all quests on my Bubo. Since oak is your core sample. Obv. mman quests will help with the luk star talent, but pre-vman he couldn't do certain quests involving killing stuff.

What does Trickz mean about losing an onyx chisel for an alt? Does it mean that if you lose an onyx chisel for a character, you do not get the bonuses from onyx statues?

As long you dont go actively throwing away chisel, its fine

You do NOT need the quest or chisel or anything for onyx statue effect to work on alts. It's account wide.

But you'll have a golden statue npc in w1, and wont be able to drop the 20k stacks to unlock onyxes on that alt. So no big issue on that itself.

The main issue is if you are on your first character doing it, even though you unlocked onyx power statue through the quest. You cannot create the other onyx statues until you droped the chisel infront of the npc. So if you mess that up, you have to redo the quest on an alt to unlock the ability to make more onyx statues.
