ES has better scaling dr mechanic, but sadly only applies to limited types of mob. DK has weaker dr mechanic but applied to much wider mobs. SB has a weak mechanic that is applied to narrow range making him near useless in the competition of drops

After unlocking it a few days ago, I got my first chemical plant in gaming today. I know that you can get really good gains through it, but I don't fully understand how it works. Do I need to let it evolve to a certain level (mine is level 2)? Do I need multiple chemicals on the board to get started or is one enough?

Then and only then do you claim a chemical. This gives you sprinkler procs back and takes time off your log

Yeah, it's something that definitely becomes a big priority with rift unlocked, because of skilling maseteries (Bonuses based on total account skill levels), but it's a good idea to poke at. Just keep your VMan at the highest!

I have a couple tips to make it less painful.

1. If you have an ES, make sure to have the divinity exp buff talent to all characters
2. If you have extra gems, get the W5 bonus "divinity sparkle" (you'll also want to prioritize getting golden sprinkler, but thats unrelated to divinity)
3. Try to get the style "Chakra" asap lol, it'll help a lot

I don't know how the god blessings work, but the snake and bear gods also have a +% divinity gain that you can level
