I average 8 hours/week lifting & 8-10 hours/month running. Eat 2-3 times a day cooking most of my food in bulk portions

I started with a chest - rest - back - rest - arms - rest - legs loop

No rest between legs & back to chest

It was good for dealing with initial soreness

And was at most 2 hours total for the week

At home with dumbells & nothing else

Gym is ideal for equipment but exercise can be done with any amount of equipment including none

It mostly just alters efficiency & choice

Tuesday - Rest

Wednesday - Back
3x Overhand Grip Rows
3x Pullovers
3x Underhand Grip Rows (if you have a pullup bar, replace this with pullups)

Thursday - Rest

Friday - Arms
2x Lateral Raises
2x Standing or Sitting Shoulder Presses
3x Overhead Extensions
3x Bicep Curl (preferably a normal both arms synced variation/standard)

Saturday - Rest

Sunday - Legs
3x Squat
3x Lunges or Reverse Lunges (people with knee pain have an easier time doing reverse)
3x Calf Raises

Was what I did with dumbells to start with as a routine

The only technical other equipment was stacking pillows/blankets to act as a bench for chest press/fly

Not the most recent second picture but this is for example a year & a half of lifting purely at home with dumbells (20 & 40lbs)

8 hours out of the 168 in a week

So definitely not “my whole life” like many think it is

That’s just what I used to start but odds are after a month of doing it & looking things up for form you’ll adapt it as needed

And that’s specifically with access to dumbells, if you have 0 equipment it has to be altered to a pure bodyweight setup

And if you do use a gym or have more equipment then you can make it more optimal like having access to cables

My routine both that one & what I do now focuses most on the back/shoulder/outer chest area, which are why those are the most developed

Traps (the bumps next to neck)/Side Delt of the shoulder/outer chest area are what give that wider & bigger look

There is one aspect to lifting that is difficult & it’s pushing to failure/near failure. Use the mindset of if a gun was pressed to your head if you could do another rep if asked

If the answer is no then you’re at failure

And you generally want to be capable of around 0-3 reps before stopping

It’s one of the reasons why it improves your mental. You get used to breaking mental barriers

Your mind wants to quit before your body does quit

Exercise is also not some kind of pain circuit. Most of it will just be tension

What should I do if I'm apathetic

Just force yourself to do it for a month

It’ll add up to at most 8 hours for that month on an early routine

You force yourself at first

Becomes habit after

And then you’ll start to care

Getting sick less, being stronger, pride of accomplishment, & the physical improvement work wonders for making it more appealing to keep doing

Knowing something is a good idea to do but not doing it because it’s perceived as hard/don’t care/won’t be good at it is human life in a nutshell

Human body & mind both adapt to the life you live

If you change that life, it’ll adapt to it

i am slowly making progress on lifting and muscle training but...i think i'd need to cut even more calories(and i already eat less than normal) to see obvious results

uh, my lat pulls are like 49kg x 12 x 4 and i usually do 12kg x 12 x 4 dumbbell benchpress as of last time

If training properly you’d see progress no matter how much you eat. Cutting calories would only make you more cut

I prefer to go by rep/weight increases to track progress over visual

Both will happen regardless but the former is tangible to track

Most routines/advanced routines are about hitting a muscle 2x per week & with at least a 24h gap between those 2x. However you go about it comes down to personal preference

One thing that improves chest presses with dumbells is getting the dumbells down to below chest range for each rep

It’s its major advantage over a barbell press which obviously can’t do that

i feel like you need an absurd run to beat it

i got all king relics and qiubae with +attackspeed and +sp to basically perma bind the boss and still lost

i'm deeply confused

yeah u basically need two hand rumbling flinger to cover both sides , like two or more healers to swap around and bring into boats

right side if u have a lot of hp relics AND a crusher u can stall quilon (easier to achieve on lower diff)

it is more consistent for you to have lamp of wishes run

1. lose ingots and get petal on floor 3

2. rob cannot on floor 4 / 5 / 6 to get 110 ingots so u can reroll a node into wish node that guarantee coin puppet , 150 ingots for gold chalice (sometimes lamp is scamming you and rerolls didnt roll into wish node so the later u rob him the higher chance of failure especially on floor 6 with only 2 stages left to reroll into wish nodes and grab coin toy , chalice)

3. kill the boats face off for the ed 4 relic before or after you rob cannot its interchangeable

just a heads up on robbing cannot

dont use wisadel or rosmontis s2 to damage him cuz stuns can cancel his chest summoning animation so u lose on ingots

ed4 feels like u really need shitton of attack speed to beat it cuz there is two cancer lane on left and right

the amount of enemies in it is crazy too and FUCK that ranged motherfucker that hit like a truck (straight up 1 shot your operators on higher difficulty too if u dont have decent amount of hp relics)

so u need someone with range + some aoe
AND u need to be careful if u are too strong to not accidentally kill the boat to bring some operators into phase 2

flinger not hitting air is a fucking upside here if u have god runs

good medics to bring into ed4 healing mechanic

eyjalt s3 , 5* silencer s2 drone are the best and u can bring them to phase 2 too

therapist / wandering medic for their large range and when u have enough attk speed they all heal alot anyway
