Booty Purge

Remind me why we are doing a booty purge, instead of giving us actual useful methods to search and filter booty?

There is quite literally an event that rewards you for dumping booty.

Also this short of a notice is just horrendous.

I've kept tons of my booty simply because sorting through them all isnt worth the strength upgrade with the current filters.

Give me good filters and my booty tab is empty instantly😑

It feels like ATA is completely desynced to the playerbase...

We just want useful filters for booty

Thought I was the only one who thought this was a crazy thing to do on such short notice and with no info about what the chests will be, and no way to sort to save anything that’s good

I submitted additional booty filters as a ticket for the team to work on a few weeks ago, when I was gathering quality of life feedback. I'm not in charge of what gets picked up and when, but I do get to be annoying about it and bump it frequently.

I purged my booty last ore event, so I guess this doesn’t effect me, but the short notice does suck without the option of that event happening between the announcement and now

Erasing all of the 5* feels wild. Ain't no chance for me to even have time to go through and bump the good rolls to lv2 even, given this short notice. Trash 👎

Once again, more active players have account issues where the booty screen doesn’t open. Booty purges are a great thing and need to happen.

We've given you y'all a reason to do it, and a large number of people still aren't doing it, so that means there's too much friction in the system. I've split the feedback about booty into two parts. Let me know if you agree with this.

1. Search Booty by stats - Players can search their dragon booty inventory by level, tier, and rarity, but what what is most impactful is the stats. Because stats are unique to each piece of booty, it's hard to know at a glance which pieces have a desired stat. It takes too much time and mental energy to look through each piece and evaluate whether to keep or sell booty.
2. Mass selling booty needs filters like equipping UI - Players can search for dragon booty in their inventory when equipping, but not when selling. This makes it hard to parse between items desired to keep and items desired to sell. Players need an easier way to routinely mass sell booty, such as filtering and selecting all 1* or all level 1 or all unfavourited booty to be sold.

Also like... it's like playing Diablo where the loot system is random, except in this case there's no inventory cap and no opt-out of collection. It's like you're being forced to pick up every grey piece of trash that isn't even worth selling, and then letting you keep all of that forever. Why. Why are we like this

Well, and Diablo just added a loot filter to the game so you dont even see the trash you dont want😛

for point 2; there is an easy way to purge lvl 1-4 booty via mass sell - the same function we want to filter booty could be used to sell the non wanted ones as swell

but especially for me, now a ton of good 5* booty is gone that I had waited to sort through for a better search

Can we just like.... opt out of receiving any booty below a certain star🤣 like in Diablo i set my loot filter to nothing thats not ancestral😛

Like personally if its below 5* im just gonna sell it anyway... so what's the point of me getting it in the first place

Anything is possible... in theory. In budget, scope and resources (and a 10 year old game engine), not always. I can definitely put in a ticket for it and advocate for it. We need some sort of better long term solution to this, for sure.

My account as an example, th 32 farming lvl 21s, can hit every raid etc. The content im doing there is no reason I should even be receiving less than 5* from the "endgame" content

Now if im going to go do an m3 than sure it makes sense

I mean surely the team can see the advantages in it no? The advancements in technology/coding and applications made for creating mobile games atp. It is so much different and also better than it was 10 years ago

Im sure there is PLENTY of code that needs to be cleaned up, and atp would probably be easier to just restart on a dev channel than go through the headache of 10 years of code + multiple different hands in the pot🤣

In this case I mean like in-house tooling that's been built up over a long, long time that services exactly what we need as a studio. We routinely upgrade to the newest version of actual game engines. In-house tech is a lot harder. It's untangling a pile on spaghetti that touches literally everything and every process.

ANYWAYS. Booty. If there was some sort of in between step, like a reward inbox, where your collected booty goes that you can accept/reject based on * level, etc would be one solution. Or like you said, putting a toggleable filter on the actual collecting rewards or opening chests, etc.

The booty event you guys had added is only worth it if you’re pushing that meta it falls in, if not there’s no point in going crazy on it.

You gave us an event to purge them, yes.

Speaking for myself, and the reason for not purging more booty, was because I was waiting for a method to search for the good booty in the first place.
Was also saving lower level booty for ore when needed… rather than getting even more OC sitting out waiting for good booty to upgrade.

What would also help is knowing what New Booty you haven’t looked at yet, this way if we have to spend time sorting it all ourselves, we can already just scroll to the new ones and look through those.

Making the purge not include favorited would also help… why should be need to upgrade them to level 2. (Currently, if you filter for just Epics for example, pick a booty, and upgrade it, then go back to the list… it resets it to all, and you have to apply the filter again… and you wonder why we haven’t purge them ourselves 😂).

Being able to favourite booty from other screens could help. Ie, if I finally end up opening the booty chests… could look through the pieces there straight away, rather than having to go to booty screens and find them again…

Would also help if we didn't need to gather 1k booty to find one good one. 😅 Some form of categorization to the booty system would help a lot. Instead of the 100% pure chaos booty system we have now.

Raid specific booty. PvE specific booty. PvP specific booty.

Still kills me to see the really rare merm or hydra booty with pvp stats taking up valuable slots. 99% of booty are just wasted space.

So many dead clan gems etc that can't be touched off any maps...6 YEARS PPL....how long it take to solve this problems?

Ngl, the other things youre referring to doesn't equal out to the amount of booty that was purged😅 yes there's other things that need done, like getting rid of dead accounts, dead clan gems etc, but its a step in the right direction

Typically you can make a support ticket with coords and screenshots of it, and they get removed. from my experience at least

I had thousands of booty purged and only got 17 keys. 😅 ATA should have just ran a spontaneous booty event so people could get something out of it at least. This is ridiculous.

On the booty mass, this would probably be a much more massive headache than adding filters, but I'd kill to be able to sacrifice a bunch of pieces of booty for a chance to reroll a chosen stat on another piece of booty. I'd kill a ton of booty and personally be very willing to invest time in doing so if I could tweak medium quality (to me) booty to great booty, or great booty to ideal (to me) booty. Even if the roll is random, and I have to do it multiple times, killing more booty. There'd still be endgame issues ofc though, so... Bleck. Wishes

1. Not enough notice was given 2. There are players in different timezones with jobs so even less time to read and react 3. The 'rewards' were insulting. If you compare to what is received from an 1m ore exchange. It felt like I was paying them for my time.

This whole purge was ridiculous. I have no chance to 3 star bounty of booty today (only a handful of 6 star booty left of each type). Are you going to comp me for that ATA? You created this problem.
