#Move Misclassification

that's not part of stockfish, it's something chess.com built independently on top
in other words: this has nothing to do with stockfish and no one here can do anything to change that
both moves are equally bad, according to the rules of chess they should be evaluated equally
Also recheck your proposed mates in 1. Some of them are not even check and some aren't mates.
they are all mates and they are discovered attacks on the king, so the knight moves and the bishop checks the king
Examples: h4 is not a check; Ng5 is a check but not a mate as Kh6 is possible.
yea but most of them are mates, sorry
but Kh5 is a blunder because it allows mate in 1
and i’m guessing it was misclassified because stockfish was at a really really low depth or really really short on time
g5 allows mate in 1 as well
oh yea
Qxg5 looks pretty mate to me
right yea it’s mate
so Kh5 is best move and g5 is alternative but they both lead to mate in 1
From an engine's perspective they both lead to mate in 1, so they are equal.
btw, we should close this issue since the answer has already been established
you can "close" support posts?
I remember there was one closed about replacing "support" with "help"
must be a mod thing
