What is one movie/series you really love but everyone hates? Or, what movie/series you loved so much you got disappointed when you researched more about the ratings and found out it was so low?

I'll start one with myself first:

UglyDolls (2019)

• The movie explores the adventures of so-called UglyDolls who dream of being owned and loved by a child. However, it comes with challenges of being different from perfect, providing a message that what really matters is authenticity, your true self.

Ratings

• The movie has recieved a low rating on Rotten Tomatoes, given by a 30% Tomatometer and 54% Popcornmeter. On IMDb, the movie has recieved a 5.2/10 stars. Average reviews and comments say that the movie lacked depth and a predictable plot, and the cliché-type motivations.

My reaction

• As a child back then, I really loved the movie. I don't know the exact reason why I got hooked into the movie to the point of rewatching it many times. I started to think that people who have watched it actually loved the movie like how I did. I was wrong. Given that I have researched about the movie, I felt disappointed by knowing that my favorite was actually a hates movie.

But, I have watched a movie with WORSE, WORST OF THE WORST ratings.

Norm of the North (2015)

I will not explain anything about this movie.
But, I used to love it as a little child back then. Literally the "movie you love but everyone hates" final boss. I'm deeply sorry. I'd rather play maimai far away than having to explain why I loved this movie. (view this spoilered message)

Dude “one of my favorites in the franchise” is not a high bar for the cars movie trilogy

mehh idunno I like all of em but the second one the most

i agree that it has a lot of flaws though like, yeah it doesn't fit well in the franchise but I really like the plot

i may also just be biased since it kinda was a childhood movie for me but rewatching all of it recently didn't really lower my opinion on it
