#I need Feedback on a remix

this has some slappin grooves! there's story, contrast, action-reaction, some expectations satisfied but other expectations defied.
I think know the effect that you're trying to get building up to 2:05. It doesn't quite work yet. Maybe I can use a picture to explain:
I want to hear your thoughts about that part of the tune before I make any specific suggestions
This is max crunch lmao
Idk if it's intentional I like that ultra-distorted laughter at 0:32, but maybe that can be turned down a bit?
Also u don't have to clip the whole song to maximum, some contrast would be nicer
great track
the laugh was intentional distorted
i didn't max it out on purpose some of the presets are louder than they should be and the kicks clip some of the sounds
maybe try to make multiple instances of the kick and adjust them
I'll try that tomorrow
is this any better?
Heck yes! That's hecking brilliant
thank you
omg is that "dick control" sample
no its beat control
either way
tight corner transition: hard to pull off, but that worked really well
and then the next one starting around 2:10, nice foreshadowing with the kick winding up........
thank you
the laughing girls and music box creep me out at the end but somehow make perfect sense at the same time
the track definitely leaves a lot of dangling questions
could be a very strong track #3 or 4 in an album
this is actually my first full complete song
so to hear it could fit in an album is nice to hear
that's hard to believe; do you have some other music background?
none
You changed a ton of stuff from 3 days ago
Like, there were things I didn't even recognize that weren't quite right with the mix but all off a sudden it's great
I spent a while tweaking everything
and I understated that. the 12/18 post was very rough around the edges. composition was good but...
...mix wise, it was fucked up, tbh
...I gotta admit, this feels like a trick or a stunt or something. there's no way you made that amount of change in 3 days and it's your first track
I keep going back and forth listening to the tracks, wondering if I'm imaginging things
@weak hamlet am I out of my mind?
i know some stuff is still off but i can fix that later
it's mostly the sound balance
ie the really loud vocal shout, and the overloud crash(maybe not that loud, but since a crash is just a bunch of high frequencies
impressive!!
yeah the crash is still too loud to me, or at least the harsh frequency can be tamed
other than that idk what's not good abuot this track
I just max'd the volume.
this is out of balance for an actual club mix, but for normal listening, it's tight
the kick has a resonant spike in the low mids that's pretty harsh relative to the rest
i can fix that
and then in the second half the resonant spike is in the treble somewhere, but still very pointy
once the distortion takes over it's fine
3:13ish outburst is something extra
you win the internet for 2022 with that
I don't know what the fuck you're doing but keep doing it
started a hobby and stuck with it
this says otherwise, but like I said, please continue ^_^
i will
thanks also for keeping the internet
(that's a triple entrdre, and if anyone gets all 3 references they might beat you for the internet award of the year)
i fixed clipping problems
to A/B compare these I've put them both in Reaper and slapped the phase invert button. it sounds like your changes primarily changed the kick, and I like the reduction in clipping (even though clipping and noise are really popular on this particular forum)
sounds great!
i tried to cut out the frequencies in the kick the were messing with stuff
it's good. did you do any of the sound design, perchance?
i don't know what sound design is
pls explain
hi paper
fuck off
what?
I might be mistaken srry
@solemn moth
sound design: making the sounds of instruments yourself. like you want the kick or the bass or the snare or the chords or the lead synth to sound a certain way
that's legit
I don't know what i don't know
I think your music is very original compared to what I've heard among new/aspiring producers (which I am as well), so I am curious: what are some tracks and artists that you like?
Camellia(that's obvious)
Sickmode
Dr.Peacock
Rooler
Dj technorch
Laur
Kobaryo
And Usao
they inspired me
Awesome, thanks! I have a lot to learn in this zone yet and am trying to catch up on how EDM transformed from 4-to-the-floor one-chord techno to the amazing stuff that's happening today
neat
🤬
you don't know these words without knowing what "sound design" means
I don't care who you are but stop wasting my time
maybe I'm the idion
idiot*
I knew it from the very start!

Yeah Yeah Yeah - my debut music video, woot!
listen i just never bothered learn about certain things about music production
hang up the phone and go bother someone else with your insecurities
but also thank you for reminding me to recognize trolls
what did i do to give off the impression i'm trolling
I unintentionally upset a potential friend today and feel bad about it
so I don't want to go off the rails
stuff just smells really off to me, so I'll bow out of the discussion. best of luck with everything
that's fine
lots of smart people here but when it comes to music. but music is about the feels
so much of music says nothing; it's just saying something that's been said 100000 times before
I like your track, and the fact that I got kind of disoriented and pissed off is good evidence you expressed something meaningful.
thanks
