while i think it's kinda neat that undertale is able to collab with arcaea (and other rhythm games), i also don't think it ever really works

the songs are good but it's often forgotten that they are (and were intended to be) background music

so they always feel overcharted in rhythm games

cuz like

rhythm game songs were always meant to be the main focus, so charting them as such feels right

but the undertale ost was always complimenting what else was happening in the game, so trying to treat those songs as the same level of center-stage-ness just feels clunky

which is why the camellia remix actually feels like a good chart, that song was mention to function completely on its own

it's a pretty natural consequence of using non-rhythm game songs in rhythm games
the undertale OST is peak but it is true that bringing them over to rhythm games doesn't always provide a great experience if they're charted at higher difficulties
but due to the context of each song in the game if they weren't charted difficult people would be pissed
it's kinda just a difficult situation for the charters when rhythm games collab with other games just for the OST

all things considered I actually still like most of the undertale collab charts quite a lot
they pulled it off pretty damn well in Arcaea and the references are fire

if you have Fatalis, this law is not important for you because the OVER stat is so much bigger

overall this law is kind of useless because the only character that benefits from this is untouched Hikari Zero

which is too rare in this economy

it's not worth worrying abt this one since there is no low level partner that'll get a good enough boost out of this to beat any good level 20 partner

specifically
the difficulty colours and the grades
D to EX+ for the grades
light blue - green - purple - red for the difficulties
that seems to be something most teams do when they release multiple rhythm games, keeping at least one element the same across all

but when you try beating levels you struggle with your potential keeps the same

It takes the chart constant your rank and score and sends it through an equation and that determines your potential from the song
