you can have custom songs without using modassistant by going to your beat saber folder directory then going to the BeatSaberData folder and adding a new one called CustomLevels, but they have no leaderboards and are stuck in the normal formatting of songs in the base game

the displays are REALLY nice, same with the passthrough

controllers feel great and i like the haptics

so far i havnt used a link cable yet

ill be honest most of it feels like an upgrade from the index

everything except tracking quality is damn good

and it works perfectly for my new space, where i cant set up base stations

sadly nothing will ever beat the index mic if vr chat is your thing (it is mine)....

ill update in a week or so as i get used to it, and/or i buy a link cable

I think the thing thats not selling me on this is the tracking. Tracking in beat saber is one of the most essential parts you need to work. If they aint really any better then idk.

maybe im not good enough to experience the fringe issues of fast paced tracking but so far its been pretty solid

the default sabers are both pretty big and have a very obstructive trail

so getting a custom saber with a thin trail will make reading patterns a lot easier
