A kid in my troop was known for his troublemaking behavior. He was kicked out while on a cabin trip because he was taunting the only black kid on the trip by spamming the N word. I just remember hearing my scoutmaster roar at the top of his lungs at the kid after he'd found out what happened. It made everyone in the room stop because he wasn't known for flying off the handle. It was a surprise for me to see him so heated. It was for good reason, but still.

One of my kids got kicked out for taking joy is hurting other kids. You could say he was a sadist. At camps he keeps trying to stab others with forks when we are eating

It basically turned into a 3 week holiday with 2 day camping in bloody boiling conditions and 30 out of the 40 people in my group were hospitalised in those 2 days because of dehydration or having seizures due to the heat

Also the lack of food on site was ridicules, we had like half a portion each and they didn’t accommodate for the people with allergies, one of the people in my unit was deadly allergic to eggs and the lunch we had was omelettes

I didn’t know that, one of the people in my group did almost die and they also got sent home because they had extreme heat stroke and had epilepsy (they only found out at the opening ceremony which had lasers and strobe lights)

The uk contingent made it up to my unit by bringing us to Lego land….

(My unit had one of the most people hospitalised in the uk groups)

I was fine but I can’t say that for the rest of my group

Oh yeah also he showed up for 20 minutes on stage for the opening ceremony, sweated profusely then went up on a platform to put up a logo and then left to go to his luxury hotel. He was talking about “oh we’re all in the same boat but we’ll get through it” yet he couldn’t handle an hour

there was a scout camp back in 2023 or sth and long story short one of the kids came up with a great idea to wake up another kid by holding a knife right above his face while he was laying down, milimeters away from his nose

fortunately the one which was the victim didnt woke up rapidly cuz if he would he would have a knife in his skull/eye most likely

but yeah, bro which came up with this amazing idea of pranking his fellow scout was kicked out right away

and banned forever

how did that end, I have heard of people successfully using the deoderant and lighter as flame thrower but I heard if you depress the button on the spray the flame will enter the can and explode, so I'm certain people just say they have done it because they want to watch you lose fingers in the process

some kid ran out and told a leader and they got the sand for the fire. the guy had to pay for the new tent luckly nobody was hurt but he was 'uninvited to come to meetings and camps' for unsafe use of fire and for having the vape

We had a kid who pulled a knife out at summer camp, and chased one of my ASPLs with it around the entire camp. Needless to say, he got removed from camp, and he left our troop shortly after. Luckily no one was injured, only because my ASPL was able to run faster.

Uk souting is smth different

it started as fun

ended as a nightmare

with police etc

we went to bed and were awaken by the sound of a car honking its horn

turns out

a scout had stole smth from the kitchen and ran to a leaders car and broke in and started honking the horn then eventually got the police called on him the police had turned the sirens off for our dignity but when someone screamed "SHUT THE F******** UP" he got removed from the camp by police and parents then was removed from the troop

we all got sent home early cause the leaders were too tired

and the camp was like 35 degrees aswell

there was another camp

where we were on a bench

we stood up and left the 6 year old kid on the bench

the ebnch was pushed or smth

the beaver cracked her head open

and we had allowed phones for scouts (i was a cub at the time) they had taken some 'photos' they werent removed but they are the reason phones are now officially banned on meetings and camps

It was closed, however it was a freshly oiled knife/ kinda switchblade so it could open really easily

I did that once, I knew the risk so for some reason I ductaped the button to always spray somehow I managed to stop the fire by knocking the can onto concrete face down.

Also to stay on topic a kid once pissed in the garbage bin in the girls room (this was a solid 6 or 8 years ago) and made the entire room reek of piss

One of my kids threw a jeu de boules ball at a kids back, almost the back of his head. When we asked him why, he said " I could have punched him too, but I didn't". Like that's gonna make it better. We send him home from that camp

Same here, one of our kids was deadly allergic to chicken and they gave us raw chicken to cook every day… raw chicken in that heat, it’s a miracle none of us got sick
