Hii
hello
@ember dock
all that happens is me and my best friend will talk about the most dumbest thing and then the leader will walk up and say "gentlemen i believe it's past lights out"
Yea lol, me and my friend will be yapping about something dumb, or weird out of context and then we will usually hear somone cough or something and then go to bed
the deepest philosophical conv are cooked at silent creepy nights
One night me and boys discovered the method of getting a relationship
long lasting love
😭
On my Bronze DofE practice someone in my tent was watching breaking bad until 3am.
On the qualifying we kicked him our of our tent and made him carry his own
Not my tent but on a district camp there was 6 people in a 3 man & at 1am after half an hour of warnings, a heavily pregnant leader (one of the ones who you don't mess with) came and got them out of their tents, walked them to the flag pole and made them stand at attention while she was eating mcdonalds while they got their leader
i once cried at a camp during and after a ceremonial fire one night. one reason was my kids i did lead made their cub promises, the other is that it was really emotionally exhaustive camp and i just broke down. thats i think the only time in 9 years scouts seen me cry. it shouldnt be though
@north anchor has leveled up! (9 ➜ 10)
even better was that the leader they got was sleeping with his pregnant wife with their group on the other side of the campsite. so he was pissed
Well this is not a story of mine but a friend i have who's in another troop was in camp a few years ago and he was in the shower. Ang guess what. HE FORGOT HIS TOWEL IN THE TENT🥲 and nobody was around to go and bring it to him. The rest is pure history
i'd have just put on my clothes while wet and gone and gotten it
This is so bad and funny in the same time😭
it was great fun listening from our tent since we knew the pregnant leader who got them out of their tent, so when we heard her voice, the torches went out in all the tents from our unit :P
I'm on that camp as staff this year, and i'm half hoping it happens again :P
We all love some good camp drama
yup, I've witnessed projectile vomiting from 9pm to 5am, piercings done in bathrooms and a bit of arson
That's epic🤣
yup
I have a pretty bad experience too... Me and another scout had to wash the pots that the food was cooked in. Now let me get to the worst part, the thing they made is called "arakas" and it has a lot of oil in it and i absolutely hate it 😭 it tastes bad in my opinion
We had the fat incident on a camp, ended up with fat/grease on a electrical wire in the air
The sausage incident was on a surival camp, and they couldn't be bothered to cook it properly
The percing was done by sterilising a safety pin with a lighter. The person passed out :P
And it is very messy to clean up. Also the sink was clogged and we accidentally dropped the pot inside . Out of all the places that dirty water could splash it splashed full force on me. It was truly disgusting and i was washing my clothes and necker in the bathroom for two hours🥲
heh, it happens
Is the person OK now?
oh yeh, he's fine, that was 2 years ago now
Oh i have another one too
Last year in camp we had a fox that was always stealing our slippers and we met it every night when we were on watch. One night my friend saw it with a slipper in it's mouth and she just grabbed the thing from the fox like nothing happened
🤣
always a good one
Also in the dining hall there was a picture probably from the 70s or 80s of a group of greek scouts and a groop of soviet pioneers posing in front of both of the countries's flags in this camp. We first mistaken the soviet flag for a Chinese one and when we looked closer we were like"Oh Ma GaD SoViEt UnIoN"
This is a brutal one tbh
It's the levels, it starts off with that, then the civility decreases every time they come over :P
Yes🤣
idk if i can tell this story tbh
Spill the teeeea
@ember dock has leveled up! (1 ➜ 2)
Here we listen and we don't judge
What..
Yup….
Same
There’s plenty of people in the server I have been in the tent with
I’m not telling anything here 😂
Serious question incoming. I'll try and mark it as spoiler, trigger warning: substance abuse.
||Any of you guys that learned to deal with trauma of parents with addiction? From 14 to 25 I basically took care of my father throughout his addiction to alcohol and I get so intensely triggered by people who say they're an alcoholic for fun because they had a couple of beers for like a few consecutive days. Sometimes I want to talk to people who have been through this just to at least get this off of my chest||
That's rough i've never came across such situation personally but I'm here to listen to whoever needs help and give some advice. @balmy hare you can freely share
