Mine get clever. I have 3 Siamese girls and they trade off because when they’re fast enough, I can’t tell them apart well

How easy is it to train them?

If you get them young

They take a snack, run with it, put it down, get another and rotate each other out as if “I didn’t get a snack yet, feed me!”

Get a place you want them to go into and put their little poop pellets in. They’ll eventually learn to go there

i just put their poops in the litter box and they eventually got the hang of it. and make sure to get 2!! they love friends :)

Always get them in pairs! They're extremely social like dogs and need companionship. I recommend 3 so that when 2 are having a disagreement, there's always the other

They are prone to anxiety and depression when on their own. It's why I got my baby Bowser in the first place. He was all by himself, a little black dumbo self at the pet store with no other rats- not even girls to socialise with. He was such a sweetie but he was super stressed and never got used to being a rat before he passed

The bigger, the better. They're amazing climbers and it's always good to have a Double Critter Nation (the brand) because they're very interchangeable despite being expensive. That's 2 parts

You can get just like the top part of the cage, I started off with a different type of cage and it was such a pain to clean. So I got the one they posted, critter nation

it comes split, but i took the middle out so it could just be straight cage

You can buy them by the singles and stack them sideways or vertically. They fit 3 high though cleaning it sucks so much

I'd call them for snacks and Koopa, the little brat, he would hang in the hammock or space pod and stare at me as if I needed to cater to him

They squabble a lot more and having 4 was a bit of a problem because 2 of them really didn't get along. I had to get my boys fixed but I guess they benefited from that because they get to chill with the pretty girls

if u get boys, and they fight, yes. if u get girls, also yes because theyre prone to mammory tumors

i just had to get 2 removed off my oldest bb but shes all healed up now :)

There's a risk in getting them fixed. It's how my boy Bowser passed (but I think he had other issues that went undiagnosed). Getting girls fixed is more beneficial for the rat (as far as I know) but it's more complicated

this is the turd that had to get her tumors removed. im glad i did it though bc now i hopefully get more time with her :)

You will for sure! There's a chance she'll get more but when I got my girl's tumours removed she had so much more energy and life in her. She's the one that's coming onto 3-years-old.
