Needs to be off, the ghost needs to be nearby, recognise a phrase (which is guaranteed with text) and even then the ghost may not choose to respond (these factors improve with higher tiers)

I know the instant grabs and switches don't look very professional or diegetic, but they are very nice for those who struggle with lagged secondary movements.
