Place salt in front of uv in the ghost room. When checking for ghost orbs look slightly up for a higher chance of catching it. Incense aka Smudge is your friend, it repels a ghost for 5 seconds (usually)

So twins sometimes are a little funky in that it will check for a cruci in it's physical location, but it can then hunt from the larger range, which is why it seems like it's ignoring cruci

Take it slow, be observant with the ghosts - a good idea is to try and rule out the likes of Wraith, Mimic, Onyro fairly early. A lot of it is just paying attention to what the ghost is and isn't doing

Having one still lit breaks the cycle and the Onyro won't hunt. There has to be someone in the house in order for it to hunt as well

What most people forget is that Onryo also uses flames as crucis, so if you're not careful, when you think it's going to hunt, it'll just blow out another flame

it's much easier to test Onryo with a single firelight (preferably on top of a crucifix). Don't even try to keep track of blowouts. Just keep relighting the one firelight, and if it get blown out twice in under 20s, it's an Onryo. If it burns the cruci with the candle lit, it's not an Onryo.

I’m just reading this, and yesterday I joined randoms, they’re very good at the game, guy enters the room and is talking about how there are SO MANY lamps (I’m new at the game) and turns them all on and then him and the other person leave to get tasks and items and whatever, so im over here in the ghost’s corner trying to get him on the spirit box and then I was like yeahh that mf ain’t answering imma step out (where all lamps are on) and turn on the ghost corner’s light as I do that, lucky me turns out to be a Raiju that mf ran at me so fast and killed me

The easiest way to check if your voice rec is working is asking questions to the spirit box. If you get a red light blink (X for T2), the game is understanding you and your voice rec is working

yeah you'll get the red light blink even if the ghost is nowhere near you, or doesn't have spirit box evidence. It means the game heard you, not necessarily the ghost.

Rely on other stuff for the ghost: motion sensors, salt, interactions, temps etc
