I could be wrong but I was under the impression that part of horror 2.0 was to increase spook levels as sanity drops. Things similar or like hallucinations and some ghosts even having unique actions at (or possibly under) certain sanity levels. That way ghosts with awful abilities like mare or banshee etc have a more obvious tell like some of the other ghosts

• Calm: hunts at 10% sanity, base speed of 1.445 m/s
• Aggressive: hunts at 65% sanity, base speed of 1.955 m/s, if starts a hunt while aggressive it'll reduce hunt duration reduced by 20% (even if it switches to calm mid hunt)

When looping I like to make sure I’m crouched, always facing the ghost so I know where it is, and always stay at least a corner away from it

Looping shouldnt really be a focus imo. Only do it if you've had the skill to before, if not then best thing to do is always make a break for the hiding space.
