Bullshit. $430~ with winter jest going on at intermediate right now per successful investigation if you do not do any missions. That's 7 games roughly to upgrade 1 tier two item. Without winter's jest it's roughly $185/successful which doubles the number of games to upgrade one item. From there, there's umpteen number of items.

they can fill in the blanks for the items you're missing

It definitely is harder on new players, because if you die, you're going to struggle to buy upgrades since you have to rebuy your truck every time. Usually you could just split up costs between people, like who fills the truck

Dots is a bad tool to find the ghost room BECAUSE 1. There is a small chance it's even a DOTS ghost, which like yes orbs as well but orbs are literally an easy quick check and 2. It's an interaction chance for you to even get dots, so if it's a dots ghost, you might not even get it

Basically, when you see the ghost do something, like throw something or touch a door, you take the EMF to where that happened, and it'll give you a reading on it. If it goes above 5, it's an EMF 5 ghost and you can mark it in your book
