Any devs in the chat? I got a really cool idea. A cursed object that is a painting of the person in life. When you shine a UV light on it, it triggers a hunt and the painting turns into a picture of the ghost. Like a weird play on the portrait of Dorian Grey. I love it because it can be accidentally triggered.

Dayan slows down when u stand still if ur looping, obambo just gonna change speeds every two minutes, the tell is that it will usually start fast and slow down because the slow hunt threshold is 10%. And the gallu tell is its not gonna step in salt in the enraged state so u can have it step in salt, incense it, or cruci it, then if it steps in salt u can rule it out

For dayan, in a hunt if they are within 10 meters of a player that is standing still, they are slightly slower, but if they are moving they are faster. If they are not like in the range of a player, they are normal speed

Hey so I just started the game today and even though I've watched a fair bit of phasmophobia content I'm struggling, especially with identifying when a hunt is happening and how to escpae, I've only guessed ghosts by bare luck as I struggle to get evidence like dots or writing and I'm having a rough time figuring out the whole sound recorder and extra media evidence, just joined the discord to see if I could get any advice or good resources, ty!!

when it hunts I usually keep track of the steps (while in a hiding spot) , it usually narrows it down pretty well when they're walking around at normal speed, like for example if a ghost is walking very slow, it's a revenant.

sounds are one of the easiest medias to get — once your sound recorder begins to light up you should walk around until the lights reach the top (aka when you find the source of the sound)

No I'm serious I had a yokai from Edgefield that we had Yokai from basement, blue bedroom and stairway that hunted. We haven't talked and it hunted like crazy. Is that normal for Yokai to do that?

It attempts hunt every 3rd flame blow out. It can be delayed by 5 seconds. Any other flame in area will act like a cruci including relighting it and your lighter.
