Hear me out, hot ghost. It’s room has no temperature difference and there’s no direct indicator of finding the room, save it be ghost events, ghost orbs, etc. no cold breath, no colder temps. Hard to find the room, which is a strength itself, but an obvious weakness is that, once you find the room and the temp isn’t dropping, you’ll know it’s this ghost.

Possessions could also be a cool ghost event, sanity draining, narrows ghost type too, like maybe only the demon types can do it? Anyone have thoughts about this? Is this over the top?

T3 does not have a different grace period. T3 differs from T2 only in that it has more range and a fully intact T3 Cruci will also prevent one cursed hunt (burning both charges)

The T3 is situational. The extra range is nice and preventing a cursed hunt can sometimes be useful, but the more experienced you get, the more often you find that you WANT to trigger a cursed hunt. In addition, the big range of the T3 cruci can make Onryo tests awkward, as the cruci will outrange the firelights. But it's still a nice upgrade and nice option to have, and makes covering large rooms easier, seeing as you only have two crucis.

Easiest way to find the ghost room is to use the thermometer when you're just starting, wheverever the ghost is, temp will slowly drop, and they typically spend like 90% of the time inside their favorite room

A ghost can event on anyone on the same floor within a certain radius (15-20 meters or so). The ghost will literally teleport to you and do the event, then walk back to its room.

The room is identified by:

• Lots of interactions, especially with lights off
• Cold/freezing temps (not exclusively. If the ghost roams a lot, nearby rooms can also be cold. But the ghost room should be the coldEST)
• Ghost orbs (will only show in the ghost room for ghosts that have orbs)

Usually looking for a lot of thrown stuff in the room is a dead giveaway

There's no specific temp that tells you which room is the ghost room, it's about establishing a baseline for the place (weather can change this) and then finding a room that's 5-10 degrees colder than the rest

also once you have the breaker on, the house will warm up (although on amateur the breaker starts on)

Then, in general, most rooms will be around 20 C (dunno what that is in F) and the ghost room should be below 10 C. Nearby rooms could be between those numbers, but it's a safe bet that the ghost room will be the coldest.

Also be aware that it takes time for the ghost to cool a room, so if you rush in with your temp first thing, it might not even had time to reduce even one degree, and you won't see it.

That's why knowing other tells of the ghost room is helpful.

A ghost with UV evidence has a 100% chance to leave UV footprints after stepping in salt. The only way you'll not see UV footies is if it's an Obake that somehow high-rolls every single footstep and manages to hide them, or the ghost literally doesn't move after stepping in the salt.

Listen for the footsteps. If you hear the ghost walking several steps after hitting the salts, you will have UV footies if the ghost has UV evidence.

T3 can actually hurt in that regard, since T3 slows the ghost to a crawl, artificially leading to less footsteps. (not confirmed through testing yet.)

So we just had a revenant. As far as I know, the rev only speeds up when it detects player via voice, electronics or in LOS. One of my teammates was in the building and reported the ghosts speed was 1m/s and that it sped up to 3m/s despite the fact that it did not detect them or anyone else, as they were they only person in the building. Can revenant just randomly speed up like that?

If a revenant boosts to 3m/s, it is detecting SOMETHING. Usually it's a forgotten piece of equipment (such as headlamp), or that you're using Toggle for voice chat and you don't toggle it off. Most gamer mics have SKY-high white-noise levels and those are more than enough to trigger the ghost if your voice is toggled on, even if your room is dead silent

Yes. The tell is that Yurei's CANNOT just move a little (discounting rattles and hunts). So if you see a partial move, it cannot be a Yurei.

You can't confirm a Yurei via doors. Only rule it out. (Unless it's the exit door, which only the Yurei can interact with outside of a hunt or event. All ghosts can touch the exit door during events/hunts)

It's somewhere between T1 and T2 flashlight I think. It's not great to be your only light source while looping a ghost. But it's fine for finding your way to the breaker or whatever

The two surefire ways would be to check the mirror or if the orbs have changed rooms ( if you have any). Typically, you'll know if cold temps hang out in another room long term

When a hunt ends the ghost will always teleport back to its room another way is to use motion sensors if you're sure that you have the ghost correct room after the hunt those motion sensors will start going off again if after a hunt or two they don't go off at all chances are the ghosts moved rooms and is not just wandering at the moment.
