If you want to know how to know its
a hunt || No grace period on events (ghost is visible straight away), ghost doesnt flicker its always visible, sound is consistent for every hunt but random for each ghost event (random per game). ||

Yea thats helpful and all but when i‘m being hunted theres like 0.5 seconds lf grace period and it always spawns right outside the room i‘m currently in so it either sees me hide or i cant even hide at all

99% of the time i‘m chilling in the ghost room, waiting for interactions to happen and then i turn 180 degrees and officer earl is sprinting at me full speed

lol felt that, best thing I can think to do to try and avid the hunts until smudge lvl is to sprint in, go for breaker and turn some lights on to save your sanity early on. After that then mad dash around with therm for coldest room or emf for anything showing activity and then try to squeeze out as much as you can before your within hunting percentages

Yeah, if you make sure to stay in lit rooms your sanity will hold above the hunt threshold for ages

Well i go in with a camera, flashlight and thermo (God i cant wait for headlamps). Search for the bone and cursed object straight away. Then after the thermo had some time to adjust i search for the cold room and then hoard all of my equipment in there to run all the tests

And i think i suck at placing dots because i never see dots but its always a dots ghost

try the breaker then for more sanity save, and you can find bone quicker with lights on

its def hard but normally i see them more when its a single person in the room and they are standing in the dots so the ghost does more around that person

100% get the breaker first. I've just prestiged so I've got tier I equipment again. But if I go turn the breaker on first and turn lights on as I go I can generally get all the evidence and leave with plenty of sanity remaining.

If it's a Goryo you won't see DOTS unless you're looking through a camera, and it won't enter DOTS state if you're in the same room. So generally easiest to see it from back in the van. But for the other ones if you stand in the middle of the DOTS it'll wander towards you.

You can guarantee it's a Goryo if you're standing in the next room looking through a camera and it appears in the camera but not in normal vision. (Handy for 1/2 evidence runs)

What do you mean about basic ghost behaviors? I'm aware that most ghosts move at 1,7 m/s during a Hunt

Then you'd know that Yurei, Obake, and Banshee would all be the same speeds in hunts

not to mention 90% of the time no looping is necessary to figure out the ghost

Well, it worked
I used the Summoning Circle, waited for the hunt to begin, ignited an incense, threw it at the ghost and ran to hide
That gave me all optional objectives cleared.
Now I'm level 23, got Tier 2 Spirit Box, Photo Camera and Writing Book
4 more levels and I got all main equipment at tier 2 🙂

Coming to the experts here. Yesterday I used a tier-3 crucifix with the summoning circle, but no ghost appeared. It burned the crucifix tho, there was no hunt, but no ghost showed up either. Can anyone explain why that would happen? We just wanted a photo and video 😭

The circle has a couple of quurks, if the ghost is already trying to hunt it will teleport the ghost there if the ghost was in range when it tried to hunt as you lit the last candle the tier 3 obviously stopped the normal hunt so the event didn't play out, normally the crucifix has to be in the ghost room but it all depends on range

Wait what would actually be fire, like the player is inside the truck and you go through every map in a order or in a random order, after a game you maybe gain a little bit of sanity and players that died respawn at 0 sanity and you try to get as many ghosts as possible, every game gets harder (stuff like ghost speed grace perious or evidence changes) and you cant use every smudge or sanity pills at the start since you wont get them back (or really any consumable item)

For me I had my events set to max and interaction to low. I also used a lot of firelights to keep my sanity from plummeting. Also you could be really lucky and get all the events in a short window.

Going to the van and being there doesn't help your game play. 0 ev is about the hunt ability. so basically, can't figure out what it is if you not inside hiding to hear the steps or see flinging, count timer for duration between, smudge timer, how quick / succession / direction they go out...any of the Sheet's info really
