When playing solo, I like to make a couple trips to haul gear from the van and open the front door the first trip. This gives the ghost a chance to start cooling its room. Then I'll go in w/ thermo, video cam, and EMF, looking for orbs, breath or listening for sounds

You can do the Onryo test with candles and crucifixes

Shade you can test by seeing if it blows out a fire light in the room wit you as you loop or hiding even as long as the are both in the same room

You cant default to hiding and you cant default to leaving after securing 3 evidence if one is orbs and the others are possibly for mimic

Shades are pretty much toys from toy story when you think about it. They have fun in their room but suddenly get inert when you set foot inside

0 san is irrelevant considering it's mimic abilities. with the exception of 1 min rule, it hunts at whatever it wants to within the mechanics of whom it's portraying. If you playing 0 ev, having orbs = mimic. period. if you playing with any ev, getting one not related to it's set. pretty easy to rule in all cases.
