Haven't had that, personally, so can't really say. Sanity shouldn't drain while you're in the truck. Only if you're in the house. If you mean average sanity, was someone else in the house at the time? They could have witnessed an event or something that dropped sanity too

You need 3 meters distance on the ghost with the breaker on. As soon as it gets LOS of you or another player it will speed up to full sprint instantly. Theres no build up. Much like a revenant but it’s not as slow to start and its full sprint speed isn’t as fast.

Hey y'all. Was just in a couple of games where no matter what, we kept getting many of our ghosts wrong. We are curious if many of the other ghost hunters were experiencing this. Specifics: we had a yokai speed up in the dark on multiple players, we had a poltergeist give no UV evidence on professional difficulty using all 3 salts no rug involved, and we had an onryo not burn crucifixes after blowing out 4 firelights multiple times within set time constraints of known ability.

I feel like there's some wrong info you're operating on. Yokais have line of sight speedup, many ghosts will increase their speed as long as they see someone.

For UV, are you sure it was professional? That should have a 100% UV chance.

The Onryo can't hunt if fire is nearby, so if there was a lit firelight near the crucifix, it won't burn the cruci because it didn't try to hunt

I think it takes 3 extinguishings to force a hunt

Oh, regarding the polter - footsteps only appear if the ghost continues walking after hitting the salt. If the ghost stopped moving after stepping in the salt, there would be no footprints.

So, that is what I am saying. The yokai seemed to have the mare ability where it was fast in the dark and slowed down in hallways that had lights on when chasing players, the poltergeist didn't give any uv walking through salt or otherwise, and we are absolutely sure it was professional because we discussed that it might have been a moroi due to one of our players having had a tanked sanity after the spirit box spoke, and with the firelights, 4 of them went out, all within 10 seconds of one another, no forced hunt, all were relit, all went out again, no forced hunt again, and still was an onryo.

The forced hunt can be blocked by another flame. So what likely happened is it blew out three flames, tried to hunt, couldn't as a result of the extra firelight, and blew out the fourth. But that's #1 again in terms of its ability, so it wouldn't try again yet

mare doesnt do that, it likely just had LoS as mentioned before or you heard wrong. Make sure you're looking for uv correctly, every footstep audio you hear a uv footstep will show for 10-15 seconds in the direction the ghost walked, if no footsteps were heard then no uv. Finally the onryo ability was blocked by the 4th firelight

I believe shades do mostly shadow events if you can even catch them but otherwise no

as in - ghost orbs dont always appear, gfx does. so what i mean is - i can see floating blue orbs that are not always there yet they dont get captioned ghost orbs. for example right now - i saw them but no caption, as i was giving up it prompted the caption
