No you just have to understand what is going into it and the phrasing used for it now. #developer-q-n-a spoke about it for a min but there's been multiple streams and official cc steams where it is explained.
Allll these map remakes are part if it all assets need to be replaced/tweaked to allow for custom horror aspects. Such as if they still do hallucinizations with their own custom assets now walls could bleed or paintings could change.

Everyone says oh 2.0 is abandoned without actually knowing what it is and why it's at the end because tons of other stuff has to be done first before we get all the changes that they want

Try using the radio, it's got a smaller margin of error.

Static/light flickering starts at 10m for all but Raiju. Non-Yokai only detect electronics at 7.5m, but detect the radio at 9m

Even if you don't use the equipment what you can do is look for Disturbed items on the ground a thrown book thrown phone something Disturbed depending on your difficulty you can try closing all the doors and coming back to areas where a door is now opened and the ghost will be relatively close to that area

The thermometer is good but you're going to have to wait a few seconds to see it go down if you're using tier 1.

But remember the most important bit of information.
Every evidence except for orbs can be found outside of the ghost room as the ghost wanders, so remember that just because you got EMF in one room or slightly colder temperatures does not automatically mean that that's the ghost room.

could be literally just two slightly larger than normal cursed die. You basically Bet on something. you roll higher than a 7, you get the outcome. If you roll lower than a 7, you get reduced sanity or worse. OR Alternatively you could literally roll against the ghost. You both roll a D6 and whoever is higher wins.

just like the monkeys paw, the questions are static and you can only bet on certain things.

"I challenge you to fix my cross" causes the cross to repair itself.
"I challenge you to heal me" would give you sanity.
"I challenge you to revive my friend" would revive your teammate, however would kill you if you lose.

Resetting for better objectives is much faster so I tried to get doable ones, and I evaluated what objectives were good as if I had already gotten a Deogen (so ghost video is much easier with a Deo for example)

If you maintain your sanity and stop talking the ghost in the dark, you can keep it from hunting for quite a while. surviving is fairly easy if you just keep in mind where the ghost is.
