My advice for apoc 3 as someone who just got it for the first time now is the cheatsheet is essential. Using timers, preferably with an overlay and hot keys, is essential. Even with the cheatsheet you should know at least the most basic 0 E traits. Use gamma filters if you like. Some people dont like that, but its up to you on how 'pure' of a win you want. Always throw a motion sensor, lit lantern and on EMF reader into the entrance first, so as you're getting your other gear, you can maybe detect a stalking ghost. When getting the ghost photo during a hunt, make sure you incense, photo, incense.

*by essential, I mean essential for me. But some people dont need these things.

imo the jump from Prof to NM is the biggest in the game, b/c you lose an evidence and your monitors. It may be helpful to make a custom from the Nightmare preset and turn them back on (and turn off Kills Extend Hunts if you play in a group)

But 2ev is really fun, since that's when you have to start using the ghosts' tells to figure it out and not just hard evidence. The Cheat Sheet can be a big help, too.

You have to go to the ghost room to get the crucifix burn, and just light a firelight where youre going to walk with the deo, it should blow it out

It honestly sounds to me like you dont have the minimum skills to do apoc 3. If you don't know how to find the ghost room, don't know how to loop a deo in apoc, don't know how to get a ghost photo without using all your smudges etc

Have you tried apoc 1 or 2?

Try to finish this round of course, but after this maybe change some settings and practice at a lower multiplier

Most people prefer the tier 2 because 3 gives a weird depth perception and its really hard to see if the ghost interferes with it
