Giving individual badges doesn't change the fact that the community events still get done by players putting in effort, yet yields rewards for all, even those not participating. I deeply dislike the concept of community events.

I only started playing Nov last year, specifically because I was watching insym play on the Blood Moon event. I tried to play, first blood moon - Demon and died straight away. Went to bed because it was late for me. Then the event was over. I might have cheekily logged in to grab the trophy though

The dichotomy in prereq for gold apoc and then a coddled community event is wild. Clearly making it challenging to earn a badge is a factor, so why can't that mindset continue even through events?

The requirements for apoc gold are extremely difficult and many never accomplish it. So making a badge hard to earn isn't out of the norm for the devs. So with that being said, why make a holiday event community effort required based on picking up slack for those unable to invest what would be required if the event were individual

Not all badges have to be hard to earn, the holiday event badges aren't all that cool and they are a limited time thing which means those who can't play as much won't have a chance to earn the badges, making it a community effort means that everyone (even those who can't play as much) can get the limited time badge

I ran gold the first time, like a muppet, on multiplayer 😂 not paying attention. It was a moroi and I got it knocked out completely. Came here crying about it, like why didn't I get my badge 😭 was humbled so fast. Went back on single and got it on a hantu. Was so gross. 0/10 sucked so bad.

Currently all you get is badges from prestiging. For most people that is not worth grinding hundreds of hours and resetting.

There, in general is no incentive for the most part unfortunately.

There's some value in it, but I wouldn't play with it off the whole time. What I like to do (in solo) is make a couple trips from the van to the front door to haul gear at first and open the front door to let the ghost start cooling its room. Then when I go in, I'll turn on the breaker

It drains sanity while you’re within hearing range of the song. A cursed hunt begins if the ghost reaches the box or if you drop it. I don’t remember what happens when the song ends

there are only 8 photos you can take that arent evidence specific for the ghost. My ghost was again, Spirit box, Freezing temps (T2), and ghost orbs. It was in the far basement room on 13 willow street, meaning there are no sinks to get dirty water. I also had no cursed possession on so I couldnt get a photo of that either. There are so many more videos you can film than there are photos. Because there arent many photos you can take, it makes the gameplay extremely repetitive
