I have looped ghosts so that isn't a problem. The thing is only for faster ghosts. Events I can do that but idk why eveytume an event occurs, by the time I manage to get my camera or video camera (if I dropped it and video camera I always place on the ground Infront of dots), the event usually finishes or the ghost is eventing near those items so if I get close it disappears

I have had better luck getting vid of hunting ghost when I have 1 person in the truck using the remote functions for the camera and for pics i do events

I can loop ghosts unless the nearest looping place is a gazillion km away or I forget the controls and keep turning on my equipment (I use text for spirit) while using spitit if it hunts I try to run but since the overlay is on I can't do that so I spend like 5 sec trying to get it to turn off even though I know how

Taking a ghost photo while looping a fast ghost without smudges is asking for death even if you are a really good player, takes a lot of skill to time sprint and time the picture while knowing a safe escape route from a fast and potentially sped-up ghost, as others have already said, not recommended at all but it's not impossible

I'd recommend waiting until you unlock smudges before making those plays

Waiting for events is also not worth it given the low difficulty with low event rates and potentially messing up your sanity to get you in probably even more danger, could just leave that and get as much other evidence as possible and move on

When you're a beginner or a fresh prestige player getting a ghost photo might be the hardest objective tbh

yup, that's how to do it. We had a downstairs bathroom ghost that seemed to roam quite a bit so couldn't trust freezing, and only got UV. Thought it was a Banshee when it ignored me first hunt, then clearly a Mimic when it was a Rev next time

Or, if you’re good enough, try to loop the ghost around the kitchen island and look for Line of Sight speed up, blinking patterns etc…

If you have a good understanding of the ghosts and their traits you should be able to get the ghost from one try

Either force a cursed hunt by saying “hide and seek” to the ouija board

Or get your sanity low enough so it hunts on its own

Using the ouija board drains sanity fast

You can also get some information based off what sanity threshold it hunts at. Some ghosts can only hunt at a certain threshold (deogen at 40% and shade at 35%) and others can hunt above 50% (demon, raiju near electronics etc…)

It takes time to learn all the ghosts and their traits but the cheat sheet helps a lot

When the game spawns a bone, if the bone spawns in an unreachable place it fail-safes to the center of the map (this is also why you find the bone by the tree in CWW more often than not). SM is currently bugged such that the bone never spawns in a reachable place

if you have a spike (not a levitation which will be a tall but short length spike) reach 4 or 5 then you likely have emf5 but theres many things that can look like emf5 like events or even hunts. theres a formula the game uses to change the emf outcome on the activity board which makes it appear pretty random.

Passthrough isn’t just receiving audio its giving it too.

Passthrough being disabled was blocking in game voice chat because it’s synced to microphone use on Xbox party chat only. Allowing pass through takes away that blockade and allows you to talk in game

I am having problems with Phasmo, It seems since I and a friend prestiged, we play on Professional, the ghost are slow at giving evidence, and it seems anything that requires electronics equipment doesn't work, IE: Spirit Box, also, video camera not picking up anything, IE: Dots for Goryo. We are on console, and this seems to have started after we prestiged and the 5 year celebration ended, can anyone help?

I was playing with friends on sunny meadows and We made the game REALLY weird.
The game thought I had the glowstick while my friend actually had it so I could drop the glowstick and my friend could shake it from ANY part of the map (with the tradeoff of not being able to pickup/drop/use items)

I also had one game where that same friend interacted with the Ouija board and it gave me the Text UI to answer even though they used it.

Hi guys I’m kinda new to the game I’m not sure if we got trolled but… is the ghost able to leave the house ??? Me and my friend joined a random persons game who was playing on Willow Street, it was supposed to be amateur difficulty but we got into the game and as soon as I stepped into the house the door slammed shut and my flash light started flickering and it was a hunt. One random person died and I left the house, but then me and my friend saw the ghost run out of the house ??? Like literally out of the house right down the walkway. We told one of the other people in the game and he couldn’t believe it either and came to see, it happened again except this time it was transparent and it was running outside. Then it randomly killed my friend who was also outside (even though the door to the house was open so idk if it was even hunting ???) and I checked in the van all of this happened within the setup phase. Then the person randomly told me it was the twins and we left. I think it ended up being a goryo or something but… I’m so confused. Did they troll us somehow or is this some kind of weird glitch ?
