second, are they based on average sanity or individual sanity? if my gf stays in the van the entire time, so she maintains full sanity, and i go inside, even at 0% sanity, that would be an average of 50%, so would i never get hunted by a 40% ghost?

so ive been just playing phasmo with my friend and in the last 15 games that i did a couple weird things happened. we are doing no evidence to get some money quickly and this just doesnt make sense:

an onyro turned on a candle and did the mare thing where it immediatly flips the switchif you turn a light on (i thought only mare can do this and that onyros cant light candles)

earlier a goryo completely threw off everything in the first hunt off the table in ridgeview, just like a poltergeist, we havent had that happen yet and the speed was insane, also the hunts do not last long (duration set to low) (which resulted in us thinking its a poltergeist)

also another onyro blew off 7 candles in a row without ever using the crucifix which was below (no other candle nearby or lit in the entire house) (i thought after every 3rd candleblown off it has to try to hunt thus using a crucifix {or another candle, which was not present})

a shade apparently acted like a banshee, completely ignoring me in every hunt while i was trying to loop it and it went for my teammate which wasnt even in the same room with me (we tested in 2 hunts because my teammate was like "its a banshee")

so i just want to ask where my initial approaches were wrong and what likely happened or if anything that i just mentioned is a bug?? how likely is any of this to happen, especially this often in a row? (we had some other things as well that i didnt even mention)

Assuming you have a deo, you also want ez to do objectives, like photo of the ghost, and escape/repel/ cleanse.

Once you enter the map, the ghost will hunt, the deo will come straight for you very fast until like 3m away, smudge it once it slows down then make your way to the chapel to loop it, keep calm as the deo is slow enough for you to out walk it in apocalypse 3, assuming you don't get stuck or hit a dead end

looping is rarely actually necessary. Get solid on other mechanics first.

Don't worry too much about looping, but if you have to, then stay crouched as close to the looping slot, use sprint sparingly (usually during longer sections)

Try and keep eyes on the ghost as much as possible

Be aware of any things that might trip you up (like trash bins and such)

Crouch to break LoS, keep eyes on the ghost, only use sprint a little at a time. Be aware of your surrounding, like trashcans

looping ghosts works best with the tall ones, when it comes to crawlers looping gets 6x harder

but that's not something you can control

The thing with looping, it's NOT a necessary skill, just a useful one. The best things to do, is to loop for a bit, smudge and book it for a hiding spot
