All ghost manifest in events. Oni just do so more. Also they cannot do the airball. Their biggest thing is they don't or rarely do the long blinks. So they wil be far more visible than others.

Hi everyone, i have a question and need your help. How can i identify the onryo on 0 evidence and 0 sanity? I just dont know how to test for him when he hunts mostly instant when im inside. i know about the candle test, but how can i do it properly?

You can test them using a singular firelight

Light a firelight, when it gets blown out relight in and wait 20 seconds, if it gets blown out again before the 20 seconds is up then it's an onryo (this isn't confirmed but has been tested alot)

When the ghost selects GhostAbility it will roll a random integer between 0 - 11:
0 = Breaker
1 - 4 = Ability (wraith tp etc)
5-11 = Event
(^ for all ghosts but Hantu and Thaye)
if event frequency is...
low: if the number is >6, reroll 0 - 11 again
medium: no reroll
high: <7 reroll 0 - 11
if its bloodmoon and the number is <7 it is rerolled 1 additional time

Yeah unfortunately. Sometimes you get lucky with dots, sometimes it always enters dots state while roaming and you never get it. Best thing to do if you suspect dots is to use both dots machines to cover more area. Unless it’s a goryo of course which can only be seen on camera if no one is in the room
