-assuming it hasn't blown out a flame before
-light a candle, make sure no other flames are present other than the candle
-wait for it to blow it out three times, if it hunts, (assuming no other ghost can hunt at that threshold) its an onryo

Yes, it could, but b/c Onryo will treat flames as crucis it will blow it out when trying to hunt. To confirm it's not an Onryo, just put a T2 cruci under the candle as well.

lots of items, but scatter them around. If they're all in a big pile it's possible for another ghost to choose to throw something from the bottom of the pile and make it look kinda like a polty

funnely enough, once, it was between yurei and onryo, and i was really unsure, but then i recalled where it hunted, and i paid attention to the fact that "hey wait, it hunted near the candle that wasn't lit up"

and i was right, it was an onryo

With all respect I really enjoy playing this game but I get a feeling the game is missing a final part after the investigation like exorcism of the ghost. It would be so cool and more challenging if the devs add exorcism to this game as it will keep us engaging. With regards of map I feel the game has enough maps it's just missing the final piece of exorcism of the ghost 👻 👍. Just a thought and a small request if possible.

There is unfortunately no suggestions channel because the devs choose to not take general suggestions. As for the exorcism suggestion, I've seen it suggested often but I wouldn't count on that being added. It not being included is intentional.

For shades, typically you can tell by staying in the ghost room, preferably with a cruci, and a motion sensor on the door frame or just outside. The shade's main gist is that it can't hunt OR interact/throw objects while in the same room as someone, so if it goes completely quiet and doesn't hunt without triggering the motion sensors, it points to but does not confirm you are dealing with a shade

Just keep in mind, for shades, they CAN walk outside of the room and throw things inside the original room with how the interaction range works... just have to be mindful of it

So Mylings do parabolic noises (speaking, laughing, paramic stuff eg) every 65-80 seconds if you can't get close enough. OR, stand on a turned on flashlight and wait to hear the ghost. If the light starts flickering under you before you hear it, it is a myling. If you hear the ghost before or right as the light starts flickering, it's not a myling

Was doing the new weekly with a friend. We did the myling test where you put the flashlight on the ground and if you can still hear it when the flashlight isn't flickering it's not a myling. We were in the fridge hiding spot at Ridgeview, the ghost went upstairs, I could still hear it walking all upstairs and the flashlight wasn't flickering. So we said not a myling. As long as it disappears instantly after photo/video, its phantom. But sometimes it can be super coincidental that the dots or event end right as u snap the photo. So if u can double check it, or see it during a hunt, u get more confirmation that way for phantom

Trait: Skulkers will be less active when a player is visible, and more active when a player is not visible.
Ability: Skulkers drain 5% sanity when they turn off a light.
Hunt ability: While in the view of a player, a Skulker will move at a slower pace while when it is not being looked at by any players it will move at a fast speed.

General rule of thumb is if the ghost isn't glitching or otherwise appearing in the photo, it's safe to assume Phantom or Mimic (and invisible DOTS ghost photo is just a plain giveaway).
