It's completely halted. You can test this by lighting all the rooms near the ghost room. The only exception is a Poltergeist since any throws would be tied to their ability.

It was really odd we were stuck between moroi or shade but we weren't getting emf 5 or spirit box and we did the circle but it didnt get stunned by the incense and killed me immediately there was no cooldown with the circle it was so quick

We couldnt tell what it was until it went nuts when only I was in the room to watch the emf for them

If I had to guess, it probably started a hunt while you were lighting the circle, then once the circle was fully lit it teleported to it.

Raiju flickers at further than 10m (not sure range, 15m?) but still detects at 8m.

Yokai flicker is normal 10m but only detects at 2m.

Revenants will speed up do to detection of any kind. Most other ghosts have only line of sight speed up. Some have None. And some ghosts have a mix of abilities for speed and line of sight speed up.

Thaye is fast until you age it, hantu is fast in cold. they do not have line of sight speed up tho.

Ghost events teleport the ghost, and it can be up to 15m from where they are, if you physically are close enough. The teleport itself can be even further depending where you are in relation to the room.
