We can highball the bunnies to 4 per game, so a new player, playing absolutely perfect investigations with 4 bunnies, would take 134 complete games to reach 3600 points

So I just had the most broken Lighthouse run ever. The ghost was in the kitchen simple enough. Got 2 evidence easy freezing and spirit box. Yet no matter what I did it wouldn't do anything else. I placed all 4 teir 3 motion sensors and none of them ever triggered, none of the salt ever got stepped thru, and the lights would occasionally flip off without any sort of EMF like it had done a ghost event yet nothing happened. It apparently could hunt just fine though as it snuck up and killed me but from where it came I do not know. Oh and one of my crusifixes got eaten by the floor so I was only rocking one by that point.

• we worked it out that even if the person who died mid-hunt had been on 0 sanity it shouldn't have hunted (I was on around 80 post-hunt, my friend 45 post-hunt, so 60 pre-hunt and he'd used mirror twice so checks out.) so that average 0+60+80 is still 46 which is way too high for a shade ?
• ghost spawned on top of my friend, which shades can't do??

No it never moved rooms I checked. It was never cold anywhere. It didn't spawn from the top as I was making my way back down from the lighthouse slowly getting every jackalope there was. It spawned bellow me and the only thing it did manage to do was turn off my lantern that I had placed down there, it did that three times which is what likely caused the hunt as my sanity was still good.

Lobbies can be chill, others will just kick you immediately for any reason. Though the lobbies you can join likely won't be on an easy difficulty so you'll be thrown in head first

right now with obake shapeshifting disabled in event maps the only way to identify them without evidence is to get it to do a ghost event where it follows someone around and listen for it to skip footsteps like it's walking over salt, leaving uv evidence, and skipping a footstep in the UV

i'd say play a custom where you don't lose items with 0 sanity and stand there and stare at the ghost as it comes to kill you, then let it kill you. helps get more used to dying and seeing the ghost during hunts

note its important to include up to 16 but you wont always be able to test these unless in special circumstances (e.g banshee when ur in singleplayer, jinn with broken breaker, polter when theres no items, wraith when u dont have salt down etc...)

I usually prefer to tell ppl half instead of 2/3 for this reason

so the standard understanding of shade is that it can't do anything that gives off EMF while it's in the same room as a player

normally the only thing that you can do to get emf during a hunt is let the ghost blow out a candle, or sometimes get lucky and something slips through the cracks. i think when the emf reader is getting interference from the ghost nothing counts, and none of the things it throws actually count for emf either

I think the last time they changed the photo system, they just said, "Screw it, it'll do until we can do the overhaul." At least that was how it seemed at the time. Every instance ultimately ended with, "Well they're redoing the system." So there are big hopes that photos are great in Chronicle.
