anything below 1C is technically freezing temps in game, though that's hard to read on T1 thermo, so I'd still recommend making sure it's below 0 on that

the favorite room, since it keeps returning, is trypically the room best used to get evidences

ghosts can change favorite rooms after long roams, or certain cursed object uses

But it can lower the temps in other rooms because its roaming in them but ultimately it will always circle back to its "favorite" room

Generally itll be colder due to all the factors above but keep in mind all evidence follows the ghost until it does change rooms.

What i do to find the ghost room fastest is to hold a tier 3 emf reader and find the breaker. If the reader detects an object thrown or door touched, remember what direction. Turn on the breaker and pull out the thermometer. Go to where you remember the interaction and take the temp. If it's not low enough to be suspicious, then keep searching other rooms.

May i clarify. That it isnt always colder. Its just like 98% of the time true. So like. Astrix next to the always is all. Roamy boys be roamy boys sometimes specially when dealing with wraiths and banshees.
You may see from time to time someone pop in here confused why the fav room with orbs isnt the coldest room for example.

No no yurei can double touch a door/tent but not close it, closing it can be one tap or two, followed by a slam

Use motion sensors to keep track of where your ghost is actively at. It helps w lot when dealing with shades
