That's why it's important to keep count. Normally I only use one candle and just reignite it. Playing with others, they so often keep the 3 candles lit all the time, which mess everything up.

it should be based in how much money you get in the end, so technically yes, the more EXP/money you earn should give you more points, but is relative, 2 fast maps maybe better than a big map because you do them faster, but depends in more factors like, luck/how fast you spot which ghost is it etc

Don't rely on salt, the ghost sometimes just steps in salt but then doesn't take another step so it doesn't give off UV evidence. When you hear a door being touched or a light switch being flicked or something like a window knock, if there's UV, it will stay for 120 seconds on most difficulties. You can shine your UV light on it

Yes, all ghost will always leave fingerprints if it has UV other than Obake. The fingerprint appearing chance and the duration can be tweaked using a custom difficulty. The default on most is 100% chance of fingerprints (for all ghost except obake ofc) and 120 seconds duration

you can mess around with custom and see what youre confortable with

if youre comfortable with a certain set of settings which happen to pay you out more than what you normally get, go for it

just make sure to save it using the save icon besides the difficulty's name up top

yeah no worries. Mimic orbs just becomes something you're aware of eventually. As far as freezing, it's just a function of how long the ghost spends in its room, so if it was roaming, hunting, etc it can take a while. Also on Amateur the breaker starts on, so the house is already warm, which also causes freezing to take longer to find.
