My best advice is to stick in the entrance way use t3 parabolic to listen to ghost (hopefully you know the footstep speed) have your lanterns down and crucifix down to prevent any teleport hunters try to narrow down what ghost your dealing with and set a stopwatch timer on your phone the last 15 seconds of the hunt lure the ghost towards smudge picture smudge

So the onryo ability is basically if the ghost is an Onryo, after it blows out the first 3 candles, it should hunt or try to hunt immediately

But only the first 3 candles, after the first 3 candles it doesn't apply anymore. What does apply is candles are basically like crucifixes for Onryo, so as long as there's a candle lit in the Onryo's proximity, it can't hunt

If the ghost blows out 3 candles and doesn't hunt or try to hunt, it's not an onryo

I just had a thought. So most people would agree that Goryo dots are annoying, right? Maybe to make up for that the Goryo could always be in the dots state so long as it’s alone in the room. That way it’s still unique while being somewhat difficult to identify/get DOTS. If not always in dots maybe it could be much more likely to enter dots if alone.
