We had ghost last night on the light house on professional only was able to get 2 evidence and I was a able to determine it was a banshee ghost room was on the floor where the little tent was and everytime it would hunt it would walk up stairs and we was all in the ghost room and it did that for like 5 hunts would just walk up stairs then it finally decided to come towards us and made a b line for the person it liked it was so wierd… it was like that person was up stairs but they wasn’t…. I was surprised as everyone else was has anybody had any experience with ghost doing something similar ?

no. it only mimics one ghost at a time (for 30s). when the mimic mimics itself or the player, it's essentially a "blank" ghost akin to the spirit; no special abilities, nothing. it isn't inception

Barely going to be able to get evidence anyway, so don't really need it to bring in equipment, and it means you have to wait around before you can gain any idea of how it hunts... probably missing what sanity it does it at assuming you don't just sit in the truck for the whole time.

There's multiple times I've tried to check if the ghost blows out a crucifix over a firelight, only to have it do it... and then be an Onryo anyway.
(Which is because tier 3 cruci extends past the firelight range.) I've even had that on the tiny rooms on Point hope.

Make sure to always have a plan on where you’d based on what’s available and where you’d stand when the ghost hunts if you need to watch for speed. Then smudge and hide if you have smudge.

ive developed a habit of flickering light switches as soon as i hear footsteps or any other noise that arent my equipment. when it's hunting you can't flip them, and since sometimes theyre pretty hard to differentiate its a good way to make sure so the ghost doesnt suprise-kill you
