At the start try keeping your sanity high, lit up rooms don't drain sanity

If you start hearing footsteps or the ghost and everything starts flickering, turn off or throw away all your electronic equipment and go hide asap

Ghosts hunt at certain sanity thresholds, most of them at 50% or less, some higher, some lower

i.e. a ghost that throws a book will never write in it

If you've ruled out multiple evidences in 2ev, you can cross off any ghosts that have both of those evidences (since they can only hide one). If you're using the Cheat Sheet it does this logic for you.

How did people find out Banshees cannot do long roams?
For all we know, maybe the Banshee can still perform long roams, but it just can't change favorite rooms after performing one.

The reason that's been given for why Banshees cannot change room is because perfoming a "long roam" is required to change room. (It's the same reason, indirectly, that Goryo cannot change rooms).

a. Hearing a Moroi speed up in LOS when it is already so fast is very difficult
b. The amount of time a Moroi is additionally blinded for when smudged is not very long
c. Their base speeds are barely different

The ghosts have decent interaction range sometimes they don't need to be too close to open a door or mess with it.
Most ghosts cannot use their normal abilities when they're hunting it switches over to hunting abilities so the twins shouldn't do that but what can happen is at the very beginning or very end of the hunt between could use its ability for long-range interactions.
