I am mostly content with the changes. I think they have the ID and Trophy the wrong way around still. Trophies are personal figures of merit after all, ID skins are far more suited to community unlocks. But it is at least a bit better.

The real question, I fear, is what becomes of the event's main mechanics. Is it just yet another "touch objects in the map" deal, or is it something cool, like shooting snowmen, chasing dots rabbits etc?

Thermometer: t1 Thermometer kinda stinky so getting freezing is very hard with it. Usually anything below 0 is freezing

Spirit box: Make sure the lights are off in the room you are in. Try to move around the room too as the spirit box has a very short range

Dots. Place the laser pointer on top of a object so it will project across the room

Orbs. Turn the lights off in the room to make the orbs easier to see. Orbs will also ALWAYS be in the ghost room if they are a evidence for that ghost

Ghost writing: just kinda wait

Emf 5. For emf5 the needle will very noticably jump to 5 on the scale

Uv. Listen for doors moving or uv salt piles after the ghost steps in them

There are a bunch of different tips and tricks to getting evidence. I would recommend finding people to play with that enjoy teaching/helping new players!

I don't usually do large maps solo, but strategies I see here that other people swear by include putting down sound sensors and then listening for activity from the truck to narrow it down, using certain cursed objects like ouija, music box, mirror, and using paramic. I also personally like to use the prison's many CCTV cameras to look for orbs at the start of the investigation - it basically gives you free video cameras. On MP I also like to use the CCTV on prison during the first hunt to try to narrow it down. That's impossible for SP games though

They're small enough to be super doable by 1-2 players, but even on full 4 player lobbies, the size means there's still plenty of chaos trying to get away from the angry ghost during hunts (which is honestly the main challenge on smaller maps. On large maps the challenge tends to be finding the ghost in the first place)

i was in multi last night and for literally hours all i saw was tons of lobbies with ppl who are selling prestiges (in their name too) for $. this is the first time i've started seeing this dominate the lobby and it's disheartening af. it really makes the whole point of leving up feel valueless and if an anti-cheat system aint integrated fast it's killing the community and making those who honestly level up resentful

there used to be a few here and there, now it's so common and its gross af

like if the devs disapprove mods being used, AT LEAST install anti-cheat

For the moment, just use the in-game reporting feature, and if you have further proof, DM @violet nova they DO have an anti-cheat. Don't know to what degree though.
