It wasn't "blinking like a Poltergeist"? Both Myling and Poltergeist have normal blinks. With the throwing speed, it's kind of random. Poltergeist throw stuff more often and harder overall but with luck a string of relatively normal throws can happen. But it's hard to know for sure how you misread the EMF reader.

I was a little concerned about it taking so long between hunts that I decided to do a spirit check and timed the length between smudging the ghost and the next hunt, and I should not have doubted, it was indeed a polter. Gotta remember that just because they can hunt 90 seconds after a smudge, does not mean that they will.

It's indeed rare, which is why some test for polter during a hunt by placing a bunch of items on a loops spot.

So when it hunts, the polter will yeet everything on the loop spot in to the stratosphere.
