find a couple hiding spots early so you know where to run when the ghost hunts. Make sure you have electronics turned off and aren't talking. If you're not sure, don't wait around to find out if it's an event or a hunt, just get out right away.

You can do a lot more with Board than most. More sanity drain and less "accurate" than Mirror, but you can ask age.. where the bone is.. etc.
