Find the ghost room, it is the room that stays the lowest temperature
Enter room alone (if it says responds to pople who are lone) and then turn the lights of, then speak (check settings) and ask it questions "who are you?" "are you friendly?" "Show me a sign"
If the light goes blue, the game is detecting your voice.
If the oposite light goes red, the ghost hears but did not respond because either the room is not dark enough, they are too far away, or they are not the type to respond. So when standing in the dark asking questions, if you hear any interactions like a door open, go up to it and ask, if you are sure it went red still and you are where the invisible ghost is, then not evidence, but if the light goes white and you hear somethinng, that's evidence.

some things to remember about phasmo, if a ghost doesnt do anything while you are close its probably a shade, if a ghost is extremely slow when its close to you its a deogen (dont try to hide if it is, it can find you), if it speeds up a TON from slow to fast when it sees you its a revenant, and if it never leaves footprints in salt its a wraith

Couple things wrong about this, any ghost can act like a shade, hantu can seem like a deo if you are in a very warm room, and revenant isn't just LOS, it's also when equipment is detected even when you aren't visible

Shade is just specific to it cannot write in a book, blow out a candle, or hunt when in the same room, but if it roams out of the exact room and is still in radius, can still interact with them

Basically, just jump in. Get familiar with map layouts, power breaker locations, and maybe even cursed items. Don't be afraid to fail, because the more you play, the more you learn the nuances of each ghost.

EMF5 should be confirmed with an actual EMF, not off the board.

Either way, these are the two evidences you need to be double checking

Thermometer, flashlight, camera, make sure fuze box is on (will be on your difficulty setting), go room to room and see if the temperature slowly begins to drop, turn off lights as you leave rooms, leave on only main hallway area lights to avoid rapid sanity loss.

A hunt is spotted by me with this criteria:

• All the equipment goes crazy and the grunting or hunt noise begins to sound but no ghost immediately appears anywhere
• Every light nearby is going spastic
• Your sanity is belo 60% last time you checked
• Heart beat sensation
  At that point you must run away from the ghost area and try to block line of sight ASAP, if you hear footsteps you need to keep moving and find closest room which has least line of sight from where you came from, you want to turn off all electronics or drop them if unsure, hide in a wadrobe, locker, or behind an object.
• If while doing this you hear the grunting stop, no footsteps begin, it was an event, if not keep hiding until all lights are off and its silent

I spent an hour being chased by a hauntu with perfect investigation on max difficulty and my game froze when I took a screenshot of the noticeboard, and now my dopamine response to the thought of the game are gone and it will take a week before I want to play again.

I am a dev (not onthis game) myself so I am not going to give them a hard time for their fantastic work, tbh it seems more like a dodgy driver crashing on me than the games fault, but yeah, I cant summmon motivation to play when the biggest achievement in the game is nullified by something that was not supposed to happen
