step 1 find the ghost room, do this with a thermometer. turn the power on to warm the house up if it's not already turned on at the start. once the house is warm at like 20C or something like that look for a room that's clearly colder than the rest, maybe like 8C or lower. that should be the ghost room, and you can start looking for evidence there

the longer the ghost is in a particular room, the colder it will get, so it might not be cold right away, give it a minute and start hauling equipment into the house while you wait for it to warm up the house/cool down the ghost room. if the power is turned on at the start of the game (in the difficulty's settings) the house will already be warm

tent doors can have double touches done on them but tough to hear unles you've heard it a hundred times

the room borders are open, no physical borders for the outside rooms, so the ghost could walk 2 meters in any direction and be in another room, making mare, shade, onryo and such more difficult to test than they need to be

when yurei uses its ability, it will do a check on what room it is in, then pick a door in that room to use its ability on. when it does so, the door will swing shut, making two door touch interaction sounds at the same time with a slight offset. then two seconds after that buggy sounding door touch, it will make the door slam sound as if a player had closed a door (except on a tent door, it doesn't do the slam sound, and the door doesn't actually close, but it will do the double door interaction). along with that, the double door touches both leave emf 2 readings at the same time on the same door, with an offset, so if you use a tier 3 emf reader, you will get "double beeps" for the ability on the emf reader
