In the central wing, the organ is a good spot because it's very central and the para mic can hear up the back. There's a locker in the infirmary and near the front you have the manager's office bookshelf which is conveniently near the entrance.
Male wing, a lot of people don't know that there's a couple of sanctioned hiding spots in the wing hallway itself, behind the gurney. Male room 1 has a bed against the wall you can squish behind and there's several at the end of the hallway.
For the female wing the east visitor's room is just outside and isn't sanctioned so it's never blocked. There's one in room 4 and again a bunch down the end of the hallway.
Downstairs, you have the basement storage which can hear into the hospital wing, as well as a few in the rooms down.
The restricted wing sucks for hiding spots. You do have a privacy screen that can spawn right outside the wing door, but in the wing itself your only real option is to park behind the screen all the way at the very end, and that's not super reliable.

When you smudge a ghost it breaks line of sight, and unless it immediately gets LoS again then it just starts roaming around
