You only lose half the cost of equipment, but those trucks can get expensive. Especially for those starting out.

But that's if you die. SOmetimes, contracts can be tough. I've had ghosts not do anything for ten minutes. If the ghost does nothing, you can't really get evidence.

Demons can be rough. They're known to hunt more often at 20 seconds between hunts. Not a long cooldown. But if the ghost isn't giving you anything, sometimes walking away is your only option. Unless you're a sadist.

I tell players who are new or inexperienced there is no shame in walking away. You may get a bit of money or lose a bit, but each moment of each contract is a literal roll of a dice percentage-wise. You can have a quiet ghost or one that loves a good block party.

If you're unsure on how to play the game, try a custom difficulty if you can and turn on friendly ghost and use no consumables. Get some of that practice in. Multiplayer lobbies are great and normally filled with understanding players. Although I'd stick with the lobbies in Discord. I don't trust the public lobbies.

Is Phantom supposed to appear when you take a photo of it in DOTS state, when the photo registers as as something other than ghost photo?

they seem to be aware of that as a bug, at least.

yeah iirc if you have 'kills extend hunts' after it kills its target it just acts as a normal ghost

i got schooled hard about this the other day. it will pick someone from the moment you click start from the 4 players. then if the chosen player is a Van Princess, it will never hunt unless you use the cursed possession and it will act like any other ghost

Banshee can still hunt if target isnt in the house. It still bases the hunt sanity threshold off that fav person no matter if inside or outside.
If fav person isnt inside, then it will act like a normal ghost during the hunt and kill anyone regardless of anything else at which point a new target is chosen since it changes upon any death occuring

mimic is probably your best thing to test for its super easy. look for orbs or see if it dramatically changes speed or anything when it hunts
