You should be able to use any mic I think. The spirit box's indicator lights can be helpful in troubleshooting

It has a stand like the tier 1 dots and it has a microphone that is away from the body, almost directional.

A regular cassette tape player can be very chonky and heavy, depending on the body. Microcassette tpes fit in the palm of your hand. Take the size of a tictac case and you can fit a microcassette in one of those. Microcassette recorders are far smaller and more portable.

Just remember. Top 2 floors came out as 1 room which meant way less often top area being ghost room by default. But enough people complained it was 1 single room to where it was seprated and now higher floor ghost rooms is higher chance

FACT: Yurei is not the only ghost that can close the door in the same fashion. All ghosts can do this, but Yurei does it more often as it also accompanies its sanity drain ability. Yurei is the only ghost that can close an exit door outside of a hunt or ghost event. Example of ability below:

A few nights ago I had a banshee in the tanglewood garage and the orbs seemed to spawn right inside the garbage can, so we spent like 10 minutes trying to get the last evidence, check for abilities, or comparing hunt speed. I only saw the orb when it ever so slightly floated directly up for a split second

you mark them and keep in mind it could be a mimic or find evidence that removes mimic and then select orbs
