If a light event happens and it's a basic ghost, I usually guess mare. If the ghost is slow without a noticably quick los ramp up, usually guess Jinn. Yurei always screws me tho.

Rev is a great ghost to get on apoc challenge. You can identify it easily. Smudging it slows it down so much that the ghost photo is easy.

Fuse box: off

After these settings it should be exactly a 10x multiplier. Eat all 4 pills so ghost cant hunt u instantly, get breaker on to get lights + bring candle to help slow down the sanity drain, grace period on 1s to avoid possibility of insta deaths when ghost hunts.

None of the ghosts are going to havc a far spawn mechanic. Gotta pay attention to ghost behavior. If it throws a lot and aggressively, polter. If it hunts often (within 20 seconds), demon. If it's quiet that far away, myling.

you can try to desensitise yourself a bit by playing a few games where you solely run at the ghost for every hunt

it’s easier with custom if you have it unlocked (you can start with 0 or 50 sanity) as there’s a setting to prevent the loss of items

or just expect that you're going to loop the ghost, stand in the looping spot and wait for it to hunt, after a bit you start to get the hang of being out in the open while it's hunting and not freaking out

you dont, actually. you learn them through experience. when you're starting, just focus on staying in the light, keeping your sanity high, keeping ghost room dark, and finding the three evidences.

Question about motion sensors, does the tier 3 go off when the ghost both enters and exits the radius? I have never noticed it happen ever and have sometimes used the tier 2 over 3, am i crazy? lol

bascially, yes. HELL YOU DONT EVEN HAVE TO DO THAT! You can just take some pictures of interactions, cursed objects, bone, do a few objectives and leave. GUESSING THE GHOST RIGHT IS OPTIONAL

Also, the Devs seem inconsistent with wanting community involvement in events but punishing community play by isolating it to solo. I realize it would be easier. The ghost can pick the same room that is already their favourite room and they do walk to the new room rather than teleport so you can use motion sensors to give a rough whereabouts so you dont get spawned on top of

You know something fun that dead people can do that is helpful.
If you're fast enough and a ghost throws an object but it didn't throw it close enough to the EMF reader you can pick it up and throw it towards it very quickly and help out
