So let's say for example you have a ghost that does an interaction as EMF 5, on the monitor, that can show as either a 4, 5 or 6.

A mare will turn off your light switch instantly with no hesitation, rarely it has a delayed switch though in my experience

Motion sensor are useful if you think the ghost is following you. I.E. Banshee or a few others.

Firelight can be used to trigger an onryo hunt instantly.

Listen for the switch being flicked really quickly after you just turned on the light, you'll usually see the switch move

Motion sensor can catch a banshee stalking but there is no emf 2, phantom leaves emf 2 by roaming to you and wraith only leaves emf 2 by teleporting to you

Oh! And check to see if it's a Deogen with a smudge. It'll be super fast, but gets super slow when it's within a few meters of you. I wouldn't hide the first time to see if the ghost slows down. If it doesn't, then it's something else. If the ghost is slow, but speeds up to horrifyingly fast speeds, it's probably a revenant.

I found a banshee by knowing the ghost room was far away yet my motion sensor at the sunny meadows entrance was going off constantly
