that's a difficulty setting that is doing exactly what it's supposed to: obscure the ghost room's location

just close any open doors you see if you dont plan on going into that room

u can go to difficulty setting and set all door to be closed if u want.
if the ghost is the one doing it (EMF reading on them), u might be dealing with a wandering ghost or the twins

i played some vr phasmo today, had a contract come down to a very stressful two options: either shade, and i'd be completely uninteracted with by the ghost, or demon, and it could jump me at any moment (not actually likely since i had t3 crucies down and it was tanglewood but still)

Depends on how you play it. I have a 4.10x custom with 3EV to help get through the low tier games, and an 8x custom for 0EV for higher payouts if I want to.

I also have 11.47x that I only use to power grind the last 10 levels after getting T3 crucifix.

Every 3rd flame blow out the onryo will attempt to hunt. Anything that prevents a hunt applies still.
Flames act as crucifix and are used first and count as part of the every 3rd flame rule.

Onryo use the fire light as a crucifix but it doesn't reset their hunt charge. So if they blow out a candle 3 times it should immediately use the crucifix because of the no hunt cool down

It registers that it heard audio of somesort, rolls some dice, and sometimes it lands on "HUNT NOWWWW" and hunts you. It's a bit of RNG.

It has a higher chance of rolling "hunt everyone and make them think I'm a demon 🙂 🙂 " but it's not guaranteed.

They broke the OP looping spot in one of the wings but they still have to go around objects for the most part. Otherwise bring it to one side, smudge, then bring it back down the hallway the other way you came from until the hunt's over

The Dybbuk is a body hopper, being able to jump into the bodies of the dead.
Strength - The Dybbuk can disguise its model as a player character after it kills one in a hunt.
Weakness - The Dybbuk is slow around multiple players, it's interactions and such lowering. (This is because it's deciphering who it will "reanimate" so to speak) Also, when players die, they have a unique death animation.

AJATAR
The Ajatar will choose one player to protect. This player will not die in hunts. The Ajatar is incredibly protective over this player, getting angry when others are near.
STRENGTH - The Ajatar, much like the Banshee, will show a preference to one player during events walking towards them and facing them.
WEAKNESS - Instead of this dwindling down sanity, it will raise their cherished players sanity. Also, in solo, their hunts are less frequent and they can have a unique ghost scribble.

In most games I feel like most people want to protect the low level friend so they can get XP and the like. In the same way people protect the higher level since they're probably bringing the equipment. I don't think it works as a sacrificial lamb kind of way.
