If you got no UV then it's definitely not Mimic. Could be an Onryo if the temps were being stubborn, but it sounds closer to a Yokai more than anything.

I play mostly solo. It's actually pretty good doing solo so you get half the passive sanity drain, all the equipment is to yourself, and you have less chances of screwing up a behavior test.
