If you have custom unlocked, you can push 3ev way over 4x. Just play with the setttings, lower sanity meds, lower events, grace period, hiding spots, remove cursed objects, etc. Whatever you think you can handle that fits your playstyle

If you want to repel the ghost during a hunt, you need to use incense. It essentially blinds the ghost for a few seconds (don’t remember the exact time), which should be enough for you to escape and hide

Basically phasmophobia is a game that’s only been compiled for x86 (a CPU instruction set). Windows runs on x86 as well. M1 and higher macs run on the ARM instruction set, which means an M1 or higher mac cannot run something like an exe file (because exe is x86 bytecode)
