Spirit won’t hunt until 3 mins (after being smudged) so if it hunts before it’s not a spirit and the other 2 are normal smudge time which I believe is 1min 30secs (not to sure I only pay attention to spirit and demon timer).

I would definitely keep T1 and T2/T3 in the truck. I am used to looking for the ghost room with video camera, Writing book and Thermo. If I can't find it, I just place the writing book anywhere and if I get lucky it writes while I get new stuff. Also before turning on the breaker I check all the doors and close open/ajar ones. Makes it easier. But having cold breath and/or orbs is very neat.

That's one of the main flaws of the community event: People can just claim the rewards with zero work.
I'd rather return to the old style, where we did a thing outside of the normal gameplay loop and felt rewarded for that, since we did the thing. Now, it's just play the game and get a reward every now and then. Returning to your point, though: for a lot of people in the player base, grinding for a badge or cool ID card is not what brings people in. Having to be in the top % of players points-wise wouldn't be a fun thing for those people who can't put in a ton of time every day, and it would feel unreachable for them.

Nah. Cheaters did the rediculous scores cause there is no reward associated to leader board. But if there is one, cheaters will become smarter and cheat in ways that are near impossible to detect for that special reward. It happens often in other games.

Individually every person unlocks a badge and trophy via earning points.
To upgrade them to the really cool thing, the community must reach goal.
By doing this, every person that contributes is getting a standard reward that is fully earned by them, and allows devs to calculate total points needed a bit easier by determining number of people needing to get trophy earned rather than total points.
