What helped me learn was the cheat sheet I use I always had it loaded on either my phone or my second monitor on pc and slung my self into 0 ev at level 50 and then when I was starting to get more familiar with it all I would make a guess then check cheat sheet and it eventually just drilled in to my brain by about level 70/80
